Course Description

Nikon reinvented mirrorless technology in 2018 with the introduction of its full-frame Z6 and Z7 cameras. They have since added a Z5, Z50, Z6II, Z7II, and a wide variety of Nikkor Z Series lenses. Now is the perfect time to take an online workshop designed to give you the skills necessary to take full advantage of this extraordinary camera system with the help of Lindsay Silverman, a longtime Nikon team member who has worked with the Z Series cameras since their introduction.

The Nikon Z Series cameras offer a wide range of new features to photographers for making still images and 4K video. This workshop helps you understand the best ways to use the technology found exclusively in this line of cameras to achieve maximum results in your creative image making. If you recently purchased a Nikon mirrorless camera, have owned one for a while or are now considering it, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the mirrorless technology.

This four-session practical online program takes you deep into the customization and controls of the camera. Lindsay moves you well beyond the instruction manual and helps you find the hidden gems that lie within the Nikon Z system. Topics covered include: user settings for stills and video, understanding crop modes and when to use them, shooting in black and white with the Z’s great EVF, using picture controls for new creativity, frame rates, silent shooting, ISO options, focus shift photography and peaking highlights and auto focus modes and controls. Additionally the course covers Nikkor Z lenses and the FTZ mount adapter, control ring features on Nikkor Z lenses, in-camera VR image stabilization using Nikkor Z lenses versus the FTZ mount adapter, exploring Z’s video features, connecting with the outside world via social media using Snapbridge and Direct to PC using Wi-Fi to name just a sampling of the subjects covered in this information-packed workshop. If you are ready to get the most from your Nikon Z system, there can be no doubt that this is the program for you!
