Fujifilm X Series: In-Depth Features

with Rick Berk

December 5 – 16, 2024

Thursdays and Mondays; 9:30 – 11:30 am (Mountain Time)
  • Tuition $450.00

Course Description

Since 2010, Fujifilm has been at the forefront of the mirrorless camera revolution with their release of the X100 camera. Now on their 5th generation of X-series cameras, Fujifilm has earned their place in photographers’ camera bags with cameras that feature classic controls such as shutter speed dials and aperture rings on lenses, while packing their cameras with innovative features and technology.

Led by veteran photographer and tech guru Rick Berk, we delve deep into the focus and exposure systems of Fujifilm X Series cameras, including popular models including Fuji X-T5, X100V, X100VI, X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, X-T30 II, 50, X-S20, X-T200, GFX 100, GFX 100 II, GFX 100S II, X-H2S, X-H2, X-H1, and X-E4. From understanding autofocus modes to mastering manual focus techniques, you learn how to achieve precise focus in any photographic scenario.

Additionally, Rick demystifies exposure settings and techniques, helping you capture beautifully balanced and dynamically exposed images in any lighting condition. Throughout this hands-on online workshop, Rick explores the creative tools and customization options available in Fujifilm X Series cameras. Discover how to leverage features like film simulations, dynamic range settings, time-lapse, and the extensive bracketing features of X-series cameras, as well as custom function buttons to infuse your images with your unique artistic vision. Rick also shares his insights on customizing camera settings to optimize your workflow and adapt to different shooting situations seamlessly.

This workshop spans two weeks, so you have time to test out the concepts you learn in class and time to do your homework. Yes, there is homework! But don’t worry, the homework is fun and designed to help fortify everything you learned during the workshop.

By the end of the workshop, you emerge with a deep understanding of your Fujifilm X Series camera and the confidence to capture breathtaking images that reflect your unique perspective and style. Whether you’re capturing landscapes, portraits, or street scenes, this workshop empowers you to make the most of your Fujifilm X Series camera and take your photography to the next level.

If you are new to mirrorless technology, a lifelong seasoned pro, or someone interested in picking up a camera again after a few years away, Rick welcomes everyone to this workshop.
