Join this workshop, led by Justin Stailey, for the rare opportunity to learn how to get the most from your Fujifilm GFX series camera from someone who knows this camera system better than just about anyone—and also is a great teacher. Designed for photographers who have just purchased a GFX camera, have owned one for a while, or are now considering it; this workshop elevates your technical skills which directly leads to more creative freedom when using the GFX.

As a long-time photographer, experienced educator, and Fujifilm’s Sr. Manager of Product Development for the Digital Camera Division, Justin is uniquely qualified to walk you through the wide range of exciting features to photographers for making still images and video. This workshop helps you understand the best ways to use the over 80 years of color science and medium format sensors used exclusively in Fujifilm GFX. This practical online program takes you deep into the customization and controls of the camera. Justin leads you beyond the instruction manual and guides you to deeper understanding and creative possibilities of the Fujifilm GFX system.

In four group session spread over two weeks, this tech-centric workshop covers a wide range of topics including a thorough review of all the basic user settings and menus for stills and video; understanding film simulations and using picture controls for new creativity; frame rates; silent shooting; ISO options; focus bracketing; manual focusing aids; and auto focus customization and controls. Additionally, Justin covers the native GF mount lenses currently available in addition to variety of adapters that let you use many lenses that you may already own. Exploring the camera’s video features and connecting with the outside world via social media using Camera Remote are just a sampling of the subjects covered in this tech-centric workshop.

Justin Stailey

Justin Stailey, a longtime photographer and professional marketer, currently manages product development and professional relationships at Fujifilm for the award-winning line of GFX and X-Series advanced digital cameras. Justin holds a BA in Professional Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and an Associate’s degree in Visual Art and Photography, Architecture and Engineering. Before joining Fujifilm, Justin was a product specialist at Leica from 2007 to 2013, and a product manager at Manfrotto USA/Bogen Imaging from 1999 to 2007. Starting in 2002, Justin expanded his career by consulting with major brands, global agencies, and professional photographers as a lighting and technical field expert.
