Course Description

Join Anne Kelly for a lively Saturday in April for a journey through the fascinating evolution of photographic printing processes from vintage to digital. This three-hour webinar aims to provide a comprehensive and engaging overview of the lineage of photographic processes while also looking at the contemporary uses of each technique.

Anne covers the earliest photography experiments from the 19th century to the latest innovations of the 21st century. You learn about the materials, techniques, and stories behind the processes, including daguerreotype, cyanotype, collodion, gelatin silver, platinum, polaroid, digital and more. This online presentation concludes with a discussion about how to embrace and incorporate a new printing process into your personal photography practice, for those looking to do so.

The program was conceived and put together by Anne, photo-eye’s Gallery Director. She has an unwavering passion for photography, a strong interest in photographic printing techniques, and a passion for storytelling. As a gallery director, Anne has first-hand experience and practical knowledge of all the processes covered during this program.
