Embark on an immersive journey into the vibrant and complex world of color in photography with acclaimed photographer Joe Perri. This comprehensive course combines the essential principles of color theory with practical strategies for leveraging color to enhance narrative impact and visual allure in your images. Through a unique blend of theoretical insights and hands-on exercises, participants unravel the mysteries of color toning and manipulation, exploring how factors such as light, atmosphere, and camera techniques influence color rendition and emotional resonance.
In this two-part seminar, participants are guided through practical demonstrations and creative insights, providing hands-on experience in reading scenarios, and applying color knowledge and techniques to their own photographic work.
From capturing the shot to refining it in post-processing, participants then master the art of color toning in post-processing, implementing tonal adjustments with expertise drawn from color theory and analog foundations as a reference.
Through personal insights and experience, Joe empowers participants to leverage this knowledge at every stage of the photographic process and helps you discover how to make color work for you and develop identity within your work.
Digital and analog film users alike are encouraged to attend. Technical demonstrations will primarily be conducted in Photoshop.
