In our first session, we focus on brainstorming and pitching ideas to publications and brands. We discuss finding and owning your unique vision, choosing a project, and visualizing your story. In our second session, we focus on pricing, selling your project, and solid execution to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Sofía Jaramillo is a Colombian-American commercial photographer based between Sun Valley, Idaho, and Jackson, Wyoming. Her work focuses on the intersection of outdoor athleticism and the environment. Her mission is to tell the stories she wished she’d seen as a kid. Sofia got her start in photography working for media outlets like The New York Times, The Guardian, and the Associated Press. Additionally, Sofia is a film director, and her recent film, Wading For Change, was accepted into various film festivals in 2023, such as Mountain Film, BANFF, and the Sun Valley Film Festival. Sofia is a National Geographic Explorer, and her work has been published in National Geographic magazine.
