Course Description

Your personal spaces, relationships, and experiences all can be used launching pads for creativity, and this inspirational workshop invites you to do exactly that. With the guidance of Ibarionex Perello, host and producer of “The Candid Frame” photography podcast, you are immersed in a range of exercises that expand your familiarity with—and access to—the unique components of your life.

As you learn how your own specific point of view provides a uniquely valuable creative advantage, you find yourself making images that go far beyond simple documentation. Instead, they express complex human themes: love, loneliness, absence, transition, aging, loss, and any other aspect of life imaginable.

You embark on this journey of creation tethered to who and where you are in your life right now, and your exploration culminates in a tight selection of images that can serve as the beginning of a short- or long-term personal project.

By spending some time delving into the multifaceted richness that lies just beneath the surface of everyday life, you discover that nothing in your experience is too ordinary or mundane to be transformed into a thoughtful, beautiful, and engaging photograph.
