Course Description

Portrait photography requires a unique and specific set of skills—lighting expertise on location and in the studio, the ability to create concepts both before and during the shoot, developing trust with your subject and giving them direction once you have, and lastly the professionalism to apply all of the above on demand.

To create memorable and lasting portraits with confidence, it’s not enough to just turn-up with your camera. You need knowledge, experience, and technical prowess to accomplish this on a consistent basis. This 4-day workshop in Los Angeles with Andrew Eccles is your chance to hone these skills.

Andrew discusses his portrait-making process and how he has managed a career that has spanned decades. He shares his lighting techniques through demonstrations and then allows you to apply what you have learned through real-life assignments such as making portraits for a magazine, a music package, or an entertainment ad.

This is sure to be an intense, albeit fun, workshop for those that want to take their portraits to the next level. It’s an opportunity, in a safe environment, to explore new lighting techniques, fresh ideas, and to start making iconic images that look and feel important.

Throughout the workshop Andrew offers one-on-one guidance and support, answering all of your questions on any aspect of the business. Day in and day out Andrew shares with you everything he’s learned throughout his extensive career.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to get from where you are to where you want to go with your portrait photography with Andrew as your guide and mentor in his hometown of Los Angeles.
