Course Description

Adobe is progressively making their flagship software, Photoshop, a smarter program. This means photographers must be smarter users! In this short but infinitely helpful two-hour program, Josh discusses and demonstrates some of the great new magical features that involve Artificial Intelligence within Photoshop.

New features such as Neural Filters are useful for instant portrait retouching, coloring black-and-white photos, completely changing the look and feel of a landscape, matching color tones between two photos, altering depth of field, and other applications. Object Finder and Mask All Objects makes selections and layer masking easy. Slightly older features including Sky Replacement and Content Aware Fill for retouching magic are also covered.

While these features are fun and useful, what often gets overlooked is perfecting a non-destructive workflow along with a proper understanding of layers and masks. Josh discusses these features, shows how to use them properly with a layered workflow, and reviews what mistakes to watch out for.

A keen eye is required to make sure these Photoshop tools are working in your favor. This program centers around a photographer’s approach to Photoshop and can aid you as you dive deeper into using the software. Josh shows you these tools and explains how they can help you become a power user of Photoshop.

Josh has planned approximately 90 minutes for his lectures and demonstrations, leaving the final 30 minutes for Q&A from the participants.
