The future is here. The remarkable photographic features of the iPhone you’re holding in your hand now rivals a professional camera in its ability to create images and share stories. It’s a tool that is always accessible, lightweight, and easy to use once you learn its varied features. Billions of iPhone images are snapped each day as we grab the phone to document our most special moments. The key to turning these snapshots into memorable photographs is a mixture of understanding the technology and combining it with a visual sensitivity for light, moment, and composition.
Each of our six group sessions are an exciting blend of exploring both the technical possibilities within the iPhone and the creative elements inherent to all compelling images. Jennifer shares easy to understand, step-by-step techniques for using the camera’s many features including focus and exposure controls, lens and format decisions, night photography, and how to maximize the incredible potential of Live Photos. The workshop also explores additional apps for capturing and editing, as well as the basic strategies for safely archiving iPhone images. Fun photo homework assignments and in-class image reviews reinforce the lessons and encourage new habits leading to more striking and creative photos.
We all get to be photographers every day now, mainly because of the amazing cameras in our mobile devices, and Apple’s iPhone leads the world in innovative ways to do this. Jennifer helps you develop the skills and the creative mindset to use your iPhone to create better images of your life and the things that matter to you. Join her for a fun workshop experience.

Santa Fe Workshops always aims to produce a high-quality experience for our online attendees. That said, variables including regional and local internet provider speeds, traffic on Zoom's servers, and your own computing hardware can contribute to a less than ideal streaming event. While we do our best to minimize the impact of these variables, they are outside the control of Santa Fe Workshops.
Please Note: During the online registration process you will be asked about housing and meals. Answer no to both questions.
