Course Description

Instagram is the perfect platform for sharing your photographs, art, writing, or simply the memorable moments in your life. But how do you master—and keep up with—all of the different functions of the app?

Photographer and Instagram influencer Pei Ketron has been using this social media platform since it first launched and can help you distinguish between the features that are indispensable and the ones that are merely nice to know. Pei begins by walking you through the most effective ways to use Instagram: setting up a profile, uploading a photo, and writing a bio, not to mention fine-tuning privacy and security settings. You become familiar with the app’s myriad features and discover how to add to your Instagram “story.”

By browsing content, you learn how to navigate the hashtag and commenting features, such as liking, responding, and mentioning others. We also delve into the different types of Instagram content, determining which accounts to follow and how to mute or block other users. You learn how to turn on post notifications from specific creators; re-share, save, and archive posts; and create highlights, among many other skills.

Though it can sometimes seem intimidating, Instagram really is for everyone. Whether you have been using it for years or are just getting started, join Pei and gain the knowledge to master Instagram and transform yourself from a “lurker” to an active and confident content creator.
