Course Description

Where the lines between art and technique blur, this advanced compositing online workshop challenges students to push their Photoshop skills into uncharted territory. Designed for those who have already taken Ryn Clarke’s Photoshop Compositing: A Garden of Delights, this course goes deeper into compositing, exploring advanced techniques and refining skills. Students build on core abilities to unlock Photoshop’s full potential, enhancing both creativity and technical abilities.

Advanced techniques, such as intricate masking and blending, creating depth with blur effects, perspective, and layering, form the foundation of the workshop. Students learn to adjust light to enhance realism and set the mood of their compositions. The use of AI-generated textures and backgrounds opens new creative possibilities, offering fresh tools to craft unique visual landscapes. Each lesson emphasizes storytelling through compositing, using symbolism and visual metaphors to add emotional and narrative depth.

In addition to refining technical skills, the course offers a comprehensive approach to workflow management. Students learn to organize their projects efficiently, ensuring a smooth execution of their creative vision. Homework assignments reinforce key concepts, allowing students to apply their learning and further develop their craft outside of class. Whether creating realistic compositions or abstract, surreal pieces, this advanced course pushes students to elevate their compositing skills, enabling them to produce visually captivating images that tell compelling stories.
