Course Description

Continuously improving your craft is a tried-and-true method for strengthening your storytelling and taking it to a higher level. Under the guidance of Nikon Ambassador Kristi Odom, participants are shown how to elevate their images by an introduction on using different camera techniques, including macro techniques, motion, daytime long exposures, advanced geometric composition, and in-camera multiple exposures. Kristi also teaches techniques for editing for eye movement and eye trapping.

Our mornings are spent in the classroom learning how to convey a strong narrative using these and other techniques. You are welcome to hone in on a few specific ones or try them all. Either way, you are given multiple chances to practice them each afternoon, when we photograph in picturesque locations in and around Santa Fe. Group critiques are a great opportunity for participants to share their work and receive valuable feedback from Kristi. She also makes time throughout the week for one-on-one interactions with each participant.

By expanding and strengthening your camera skills, you become a more confident photographer, storyteller, and artist. Join Kristi for an adventuresome week in Santa Fe.
