Stephanie is a self-taught creative photographer who is primarily focused on processes such as Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), Multiple Exposure (ME), and creative photography techniques as forms of artistic expression. She has a deep passion for crafting distinctive images by working with a variety of both in-camera techniques and hands-on analog techniques to create uniquely expressive and abstract imagery that reflect her individual artistic vision. As a creative photographer and artist, she is always seeking to push the boundaries of her artistry by evolving her processes, techniques, and stylistic choices. She brings an inter-connected and intuitive approach to her photography-as-art to visually express the essence of light, color, form, line, texture, mood, and emotion through abstraction, through various in-camera creative techniques, through analog processes, and through the creative layering and blending of gathered elements in the processing stage to weave together a deeply expressive vision of experience.
Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduate work in English Literature and is the Founder, Creator, and Publisher of ICM Photography Magazine (ICMPhotoMag), a first-of-its-kind e-magazine dedicated solely to featuring ICM photography. Because of her own creative expansion and artistic evolution, Stephanie has launched a movement to redefine ICM as Intentional Creative Moments, which allows the magazine to celebrate creativity above and beyond a singular technique and allows photographers the freedom to explore a variety of creative techniques.
As an instructor for Santa Fe Workshops, Stephanie leads ICM and Creative Photography workshops online and on-location for SFW. She also collaborates with various other learning communities to share her passion, processes, and knowledge of these creative photography techniques.
