The Wedding Storyteller

with Roberto Valenzuela

April 5 and 12, 2025

Saturdays; 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (Mountain Time)
  • Tuition $225.00

Course Description

A wedding can be the most important memory of a couple’s life, which puts an enormous amount of pressure on the wedding storyteller. Though a challenging profession because of this pressure, being a wedding photographer has its many rewards. It remains an area of growth for photographers in an industry that faces the unknown impact of AI. And it’s an honor to be present for this family celebration to record the events and emotions of the day.

For two hours on two Saturdays in April, join photographer Roberto Valenzuela for this new online seminar as he shares his experiences, insights, techniques, stories, and expert advice on what he has learned about being a wedding storyteller.

On Day One, Roberto shares his artistic approach to telling the wedding story by moving with the light, achieving unique portraiture, and being able to forecast and capture unfolding emotions. He discusses how a wedding requires the photographer to be accomplished in many genres including documentary, portraiture, and environmental. Roberto also shares the arc of his personal journey in the world of professional photography, and how he came to be one of the world’s most sought-after wedding photographers

In the second session of the program, Roberto discusses the business aspects of wedding photography. He reveals how to find clients, market and present your work, and how to get paid for what you deserve. Roberto also focuses on how to use social media to promote your business and how to stay relevant in a constantly changing marketplace.

This program is designed for those interested in getting started in wedding photography as well as those already in the field who want to refine and improve their creative approach and business practices.
