Explore the art of personal expression through landscape photography with Tsar Fedorsky, a fine-art photographer whose own work often draws on images found near home. Tsar encourages each student to discover their own visual voice by choosing to take landscape photographs close to home, both literally and figuratively. Photographs that touch upon your personal lives are often the most powerful. The general goal of this workshop is to help you develop the technical and creative skills needed to produce memorable personal landscape photographs.
In this five-week online workshop, weekly assignments challenge students to work under a variety of different lighting and atmospheric conditions. It is by studying light over a period of time that you can better understand how light affects the feel of mood of an image and can dramatically change your personal photography.
This workshop is designed to allow students to experiment and discover what works best for their unique vision. In addition to finding your individual voice through active practice, Tsar offers weekly image reviews as well as slide shows of historical and contemporary fine-art landscape photography as inspiration. This workshop generates complex questions for the serious student and provides a framework for future projects.

Santa Fe Workshops always aims to produce a high-quality experience for our online attendees. That said, variables including regional and local internet provider speeds, traffic on Zoom's servers, and your own computing hardware can contribute to a less than ideal streaming event. While we do our best to minimize the impact of these variables, they are outside the control of Santa Fe Workshops.
