Course Description

Whether you’re experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime adventure or enjoying a weekend with your family, capturing beautiful memories for posterity is a must. Luckily, the days of lugging around heavy cameras, multiple lenses, and laptops just to get a frame-worthy photograph are behind us. With each new iteration, smartphone cameras become more advanced, revolutionizing the way we approach photography.

Join photographer Pei Ketron for an engaging three-hour online seminar dedicated to capturing stunning photographs with the camera always at your fingertips—your iPhone. The program begins with a technical overview of the native iPhone camera settings, including tips, tricks, and best practices that may not be apparent. It concludes with a deep dive on how to edit your photos directly on your phone using Adobe Lightroom’s mobile app, allowing you to perfect your mobile-only workflow from start to finish.

For photographers eager to simplify their gear without sacrificing quality, this seminar offers the tools to capture stunning, share-worthy images with just your iPhone. Gain the skills and confidence to create professional-level photos—no bulky equipment required. Whether exploring new destinations or capturing everyday moments, learn how to make the most of your mobile device to produce visually striking images that stand out and tell a story. By the end of Pei’s program, you have gained a profound understanding of the iPhone’s remarkable potential as a photographic tool and its indispensable role in your photography workflow.

Additional Information

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Beginner to Intermediate. Anyone with an iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later.

What You Should Know:

Participants should be familiar with navigating around their iPhones and the basics of using the camera’s features.

Pei will be demonstrating the Lightroom mobile app. Students are encouraged to download the 7-day free trial version of the app on the day of class so that they have time after the class to practice.

Special Notes:

Class will meet 11:00 am – 2:00 pm (Mountain Time) on Saturday, November 8.

Zoom Video Conferencing software (available for no charge from Zoom.com) will be used to facilitate the class sessions. Further details will be emailed to registrants.

Santa Fe Workshops always aims to produce a high-quality experience for our online attendees. That said, variables including regional and local internet provider speeds, traffic on Zoom's servers, and your own computing hardware can contribute to a less than ideal streaming event. While we do our best to minimize the impact of these variables, they are outside the control of Santa Fe Workshops.
