Meaningful Travel Photography and Visual Storytelling

with Raul Touzon

July 14 – August 18, 2025

Mondays; 9:30 – 11:30 am (Mountain Time)
  • Tuition $625.00

Course Description

Traveling is everyone’s dream but returning from our adventures with meaningful and powerful images is another story. Travel photography is an art that goes well beyond a few snapshots here and there. Your images must tell a story and convey that unique experience. If you are serious about improving your travel photography, then this new online workshop is for you.

During the six group sessions, Raul Touzon presents and leads group discussions on a wide variety of travel photography topics including: how to best prepare for your trip and then ideas for creative image-making once you have arrived (gear, settings, specialized techniques such as panorama and night images); tips on how to photograph cities and urban environments; perfecting your ability to capture magnificent landscapes; how to creatively approach cultural celebrations; and last but not least, how to sequence your images to tell a visual story of your journey.

In addition to the wealth of information and insights into successful travel photography shared from Raul’s almost 25 years in the field, you have the opportunity to work with your existing travel images to put together a short travel essay that encapsulates the essence of this particular experience. Raul and your fellow classmates offer feedback and suggestions on the images chosen and sequencing of the storyline.

Join Raul and others who love to travel and bring back photographs to tell the tale of the places seen, people met, and adventures had.
