Brianna Tadeo (they/them) is a visual artist and educator whose practice explores the history and evolution of photography through a hybrid approach that blends traditional analog processes with digital experimentation. Introduced to the darkroom at age 12 in Philadelphia, their work is rooted in a material understanding of the medium and shaped by a hands-on engagement with old cameras and reclaimed materials. Tadeo holds a BFA from California College of the Arts and an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of New Mexico. As an instructor, Tadeo is committed to process-based learning and encourages experimentation while making photography accessible through alternative and historical techniques.
