My name is Mecca Riane. I am a born and bred New Mexico photographer, poet and mixed media artist. I’ve been refining my skills in front of the lens and behind it for well over 5 years now.

I am an Online Course Facilitator for the Santa Fe Workshops. I help to ensure your online course experience runs as smoothly as possible. My time as an Online Course Facilitator during the pandemic has been inspiring because staying connected with like-minded human beings and connecting over artistry has been such a source of reassurance and connection to community. I am all about staying connected to every moment available, because it may never be possible in the same way again.

This quarantine has provided a unique opportunity for us to connect in new ways. I like to keep myself connected to my artistry by staying behind my camera and shooting whenever I can get the chance, staying connected with nature by hiking, outdoor painting, and gardening, staying connected to community by listening to NM local’s stories through interviewing them via my current photographic series “Moving Light Mementos.”
