Course Description

Hiding within your iPhone is one of the most inspiring, capable, and fun imaging systems in all of photography. More than just a snapshot device, the iPhone is a powerful creative tool: a camera, darkroom, and visual research laboratory that allows you to capture and process images in the field, all with unprecedented color, depth, and texture. It excels at assignments that in the old days could have only been tackled by a heavy DSLR.

Uncover the capabilities of your iPhone with the help of Dan Burkholder, one of the leading experts in “iPhoneography.” Learn to employ layering and masking methods that refine the look and feel of your images, explore advanced editing techniques, discover exciting and affordable printing options, and gain the know-how to finally turn that shoebox of historic family prints and negatives into shareable memories.

Through informative lectures and demonstrations, participants discover how to take full advantage of the iPhone's handheld genius, while recognizing when specific tasks require a larger camera.

Whether you are interested in capturing straight images or creating more painterly effects, you leave with an extensive toolkit of innovative visual techniques that simultaneously elevate your iPhone imagery and steer it in directions that mirror your unique vision.
