If your flower photographs are less than spectacular, this is the class for you! Join fine-art photographer Kathleen Clemons as she leads you through a plethora of techniques for creating less literal, more imaginative flower photographs. Kathleen covers every aspect of making stunning portraits of blooms and blossoms in this online workshop. You explore all aspects of flower photography from equipment, subject and background choices to composition, focus and aperture selection. You discover the best practices for creating beautiful flower images, how to isolate and simplify your compositions and how to use natural light to your advantage.
Each of the twice weekly online group meetings includes a presentation, an assignment and image discussion of the assignment photos. Throughout our time together, we discover how to create portraits that really capture the beauty and grace inherent to flowers.
As you begin to perceive flowers in new and exciting ways, your own method of seeing evolves, making you a more careful—and more compelling—photographer. The camera looks both ways; why not put more of yourself in your floral images?

Santa Fe Workshops always aims to produce a high-quality experience for our online attendees. That said, variables including regional and local internet provider speeds, traffic on Zoom's servers, and your own computing hardware can contribute to a less than ideal streaming event. While we do our best to minimize the impact of these variables, they are outside the control of Santa Fe Workshops.
Please Note: During the online registration process you will be asked about housing and meals. Answer no to both questions.
