Sandra Carrion is a fine art photographer celebrated for her inventive, experimental approach to image-making. Her work explores the intersection of chance, process, and perception, transforming ordinary subjects into poetic visual statements. By combining traditional darkroom and alternative techniques with contemporary digital processes, she continually reinvents her perspective to uncover the extraordinary within the everyday.

Deeply engaged in the photographic community, Sandra has made lasting contributions as both an artist and organizer. She is a former Director of Soho Photo Gallery in New York City and the founder of the International Krappy Kamera Competition and Exhibition, which champions the beauty of imperfection and unconventional tools. She is also a founding member of fotofoto Gallery in Huntington and co-founder of the Image Factory Experimental Photography Workshops. As an educator, Sandra has taught Digital and Experimental Photography at Nassau Community College, Adelphi University, and LIU Post, inspiring students to approach photography with curiosity, playfulness, and a spirit of experimentation.
