Doug Chinnery

about Doug

Doug Chinnery, born in London, began photographing with an old Kodak Brownie camera. Once digital cameras became popular and the quality of images that could be produced improved, Doug began his true photography passion — photographing the landscape. It wasn’t long before his images began appearing in national photography magazines and as well as winning awards. Doug also began writing about photography for various networks including Amateur Photographer magazine.

In recent years Doug has become known for his work in abstract photography, making multiple exposure, and intentional camera movement photographs. His first book, Abstract Mindedness,’ was published by Kozu Books and contains images and poetry. Doug has lectured at Leeds College of Art & Design to the photography students, appeared on BBC Radio, and had his work displayed in numerous galleries.
