Santa Fe Workshops collection of free online events, Creativity Continues features a special evening with fashion and portrait photographer Sebastian Kim. Born in Vietnam and raised in Iran, France, and Southern California, he began his career assisting Richard Avedon and Steven Meisel. Now based in Brooklyn, Sebastian has risen to the pinnacle of the editorial, fashion, and commercial world’s photographing for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Vanity Fair, Interview, Time, and The New York Times as well as advertising clients Calvin Klein, Armani, Gap, Uniqlo, H&M, and Michael Kors.
During this revealing conversation with SFW Director Reid Callanan, Sebastian shares his personal journey and discusses how he got his start in photography, what it took to break into the industry, and his lessons learned for building a successful freelance business. Sebastian shows images and tells stories to illustrate how passion and determination can lead you to a fulfilling career. Sebastian answers question from the webinar audience to wrap-up this program. Even if you can’t make the live event, a recording of it will be available for all those registered.
