A global search for wonder with Jon McCormack

Event Date: Thur, Feb 11, 2027 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM MST

Santa Fe Workshops collection of free online events, Creativity Continues, features a special presentation by photographer Jon McCormack who’s photography explores wonder as a way of deepening our connection to the natural world.

Through aerial landscapes, intimate close-up studies, and microscopic forms, Jon reveals the hidden patterns, rhythms, and relationships that connect all living things. Against a backdrop of climate disruption and biodiversity loss, his work invites us to slow down, look more closely, and consider how paying attention to the world around us can inspire a greater sense of care and responsibility for its future. What we truly notice, we are more likely to protect.

Growing up in the remote landscapes of the Australian Outback profoundly shapes Jon’s perspective and approach to photography. Beyond his photographic practice, he is actively involved in conservation and social-impact initiatives. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of The Explorers Club, a founding board member of SeaLegacy, and co-founder of The Kilgoris Project.

The program concludes as Jon engages in a live Q&A with the webinar audience. For those unable to attend live, a recording is available to all registered participants.

Creativity Continues is a program that collectively develops creative voices by offering connection and encouraging expression. Because the goal is to engage all within our creative community, we encourage you to extend invitations and share Santa Fe Workshops Creativity Continues events with anyone who expresses an interest.
