Santa Fe Workshops collection of free online events, Creativity Continues, features a special fall evening with renowned photographic artist Richard Tuschman in conversation with art advocate Anne Kelly.
The conversation traces Richard’s creative path—from his early influences and background in painting to the development of his acclaimed series Hopper Meditations and Once Upon A Time in Kazimierz. Richard and Anne explore the techniques behind his cinematic imagery, the emotional threads connecting his projects, and the evolution of his storytelling. Richard also shares insight into his deeply personal series My Childhood Reassembled, along with a glimpse of his latest work, which explores themes of love and death.
Richard’s photographs depict real-life models inhabiting meticulously crafted, dollhouse-sized dioramas built by the artist himself. A moody color palette and painterly textures blur the line between photography and painting—at first glance, it’s difficult to tell which medium you’re looking at. His subjects appear suspended in quiet, introspective moments, inviting the viewer into scenes that feel both intimate and timeless.
Richard and Anne end their evening together with a Q & A session with the webinar audience. Even if you can’t make the live event, a recording of it will be available for all those registered.
Creativity Continues is a program that collectively develops creative voices by offering connection and encouraging expression. Because the goal is to engage all within our creative community, we encourage you to extend invitations and share Santa Fe Workshops Creativity Continues events with anyone who expresses an interest.
