Michael Crouser is an accomplished photographer and educator. His first monograph, Los Toros, was awarded first prize in the Lucies/International Photography Awards in the category of Fine Art Book. The follow-up, Dog Run, was selected as one of the top ten photography books of the year by Communication Arts, PhotoDistrict News, and the International Photography Awards. His latest book, called Mountain Ranch, explores the disappearing world of cattle ranching in Colorado.
In 2012 Leica Gallery of New York hosted the exhibition "Michael Crouser: A Mid-Career Retrospective," covering 25 years of his photography and in 2014 Michael was honored with the George Eastman/Power of the Image medal in Beijing, China. Michael has exhibited throughout the world, and his work can be found in the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Art, Houston, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and The University of Maine Museum of Art and The Eiteljorg Museum.
