For many of us, writing memoir is a process of dissolving borders between inner and outer worlds, between recollection and imagination, between narrative and research, between past and present. What if you allowed your own material to lead the way toward its shape and form?
During several decades of publishing across multiple genres and exploring emotional autobiography, Elizabeth has been leading workshops designed to help writers broaden their horizons and deepen their discoveries. With engaging exercises for individuals and small groups that engage memory as well as imagination, workshop participants are invited to take risks, stretching beyond our usual habits and patterns. We also have some exceptionally inspirational opportunities to partner with photographers and discover how the connection of text with visual material helps us interweave the hidden with the illuminated.
Daily craft talks are interspersed with contemplative writing time and group sharing for positive feedback only. Writers of all backgrounds and experience levels are invited and welcome to bring along work-in-progress or dive into something brand new. Come immerse yourself in a generative setting that places a generous emphasis on support.
