Calling all digital collage aficionados! Are you ready to raise your craftsmanship to a whole new level? With Ysabel LeMay’s guidance, participants spend five days crossing the boundaries between photography and painting, learning techniques to transform digital photos into collages inspired by the Old Masters of Dutch painting, with lush colors and balanced compositions.
Participants bring their most challenging projects and, using individual workstations in The Workshops state-of-the-art digital lab, redefine them in an organic way using Adobe Photoshop. (Designed for the intermediate student, this workshop requires experience with Photoshop and competency in extraction and layer masking.)
Every day includes exercises for relieving tension and enhancing creativity, and each participant's work is reviewed in a group critique setting, where we identify opportunities to push our art forward and embrace a painterly style. Ysabel demonstrates her own techniques, while offering individual guidance to participants as they practice what they've learned. Exploration and mistake-making are encouraged throughout!
Don't miss this opportunity to work with a contemporary master, to challenge yourself and push your existing work to an advanced level of visual refinement.
