For 30 years, the Santa Fe Workshops has centered on offering premier photography workshops in the company of world-class professional photographers. Our scholarship program inspires students to continue their personal and professional development. Congratulations to our winners below:
Educator Photography Scholarship | Lesha Rodriguez
"I was given my first camera at 8 years old. I would run around my little world through a viewfinder, documenting everything I saw - from church with my grandmother to flowers at the nearby park. I find myself fortunate to be able to share my passion and elation for the medium - engaging with new generations in the same city I first picked up a camera."
Emerging Photographer Scholarship | Louie Perea
"I am always experimenting with alternative processes in the darkroom, learning new kinds of studio lighting, new ways to shape my style with my style as a photographer, and ultimately finding new opportunities to achieve my goal of being an editorial photographer. After my last time at the Workshops with Jeff Lipsky, I have been published in two magazines."
Emerging Photographer Scholarship | Magdalena Stawinski
"Driven by a personal responsibility to communicate and instigate change in today's society, I create artworks that raise questions on today's social and environmental issues. This scholarship is a real opportunity to interact with students and scholars from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds."
Nikon Photographer Scholarship | Vikesh Kapoor
"My current project, See You at Home, is a personal narrative that centers on family, memory and the myth and melancholy surrounding the American Dream. My long-term vision for this project is to create a book and traveling exhibition that contributes to the current dialogue on immigration."
Passionate Photographer Scholarship | Eve Rattner
"An artist and photographer, my creative practice has largely focused on immersive, collaborative portrait projects, often with people who are marginalized, misunderstood, or live outside of conventional society's norms."
