For over 11 years, Sony has been the pioneer and innovator in the mirrorless digital imaging world. Sony saw the future of imaging in mirrorless technology in 2010 with the invention of E-Mount—revolutionizing and energizing the industry.
In 2013 Sony created the first full-frame mirrorless camera using that same, incredibly versatile, E-Mount. Since then, Sony has been innovating at such a rapid rate, they have become the #1 full-frame camera system worldwide.
The Alpha a7 camera system is complex and powerful, and Sony Pro Support Representative David Snyder shows you how to get the absolute most out of your camera. Over four online workshop sessions in July, David helps you fully understand the system and the best techniques to utilize with your camera for all types of photography.
David guides you through all the Sony menus and custom configurations possible within the camera. Far beyond what the instruction manual can provide, he helps you customize the camera for your creative expression. Topics include an overview of still and video techniques and customization; understanding the myriad controls for exposure and focusing; how to be prepared for any situation with your camera; choosing the right lens for every scenario; the best mobile workflow with Sony’s Imaging Edge; and post processing techniques—to name a few of the subjects covered by David over this two-week workshop.
Have you recently purchased an Alpha camera or owned for awhile? Consider joining the Sony family by taking this workshop with David to expand your technical skillset. It offers a unique opportunity to explore Sony’s Alpha mirrorless technology with someone who knows the camera system as well as anyone and can teach you how to maximize your use of it.

Santa Fe Workshops always aims to produce a high-quality experience for our online attendees. That said, variables including regional and local internet provider speeds, traffic on Zoom's servers, and your own computing hardware can contribute to a less than ideal streaming event. While we do our best to minimize the impact of these variables, they are outside the control of Santa Fe Workshops.
For the convenience of participants, recordings of each class session are posted privately for one month after the end of each session. Santa Fe Workshops takes the recordings down after one month to protect the intellectual property of our instructors.
