Our campus, nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, offers a quiet retreat from the bustle of Santa Fe, yet it is only minutes from The Plaza. Beautiful adobe walls, flower gardens, and shaded courtyards provide inspirational backdrops for imagemaking. Dining and housing facilities offer on-campus convenience, and comfortable classrooms foster an environment for sharing ideas and images. Our store, digital lab, studio, and operations offices complete the framework that supports the workshop experience.
The Workshops studio is outfitted with the latest equipment from our many educational partners. With generous support from our educational partners, The Workshops Studio is fully equipped with Dynalite strobes and 1600 watt/second power packs; the newest Elinchrom and Bowens lights, Manfrotto tripods, Sekonic light meters and Pocket Wizard transmitters, all from MAC Group; and light modifiers from Chimera Lighting. Paired with high caliber instruction from industry professionals, our studio is perfectly assembled to help you master lighting at any level. Studio equipment includes stands, tripods, meters, backdrops, lenses, gels, light banks and modifiers, and location cases.
The Digital Lab
The Workshops’ Digital Lab has 13 workstations complete with 16GB Mac Pro computers, top-of-the-line monitors courtesy of NEC, and the latest software from Adobe. Epson provides us with Epson P600 and 3880 printers and a wide selection of Epson papers we have available for printmaking workshops.
To enhance your learning experience in our multimedia workshops, we have H4n recorders, wireless Lavaliler Kits, GoPro Hero4s, and our partner, DJI, recently equipped us with Ronin stabilizers and (add how many) Phantom 2 & 3 Professional Quadcopters.
As a convenience to our participants, our Store offers a number of photographic accessories you may need during your time here. Whether it’s an extra flash card, battery, or a bottle of water, we’ve got you covered. We are also proud to offer signature items available only at The Workshops.
The Store is the one-stop shop for testing out the latest Nikon equipment. As one of our primary educational partners, Nikon encourages participants to check out bodies and lenses, free of charge, during your workshop.
