Getting to San Miguel
It is very important to confirm your workshop status before making travel arrangements. Travel to and from Mexico is straightforward. You need a valid passport and an airline ticket—the rest should be easy. There are daily, direct flights from various U.S. cities into the international airports at León, Guanajuato (BJX) and Queretaro (QRO) -- both about 1 to 1.5 hours away. You can also consider flying into Mexico City (approximately 3.5 hours away). Other airlines to consider are Delta, Aeromex, and Mexicana.
Check-in for your workshop is from 5-6pm on Wednesday (Sunday for Day of the Dead Workshop), so plan your travel and arrival into San Miguel de Allende appropriately. We recommend that you book your airport shuttle to San Miguel de Allende with BajioGo Shuttle (www.bajiogo.com).
You do not need to rent a car. San Miguel is a city that is best experienced on foot. We recommend flights that leave midday on Tuesday (Saturday for Day of the Dead Workshop).
