Dan Winters, one of the top commercial photographers in the country, is establishing himself in the fine-art world as well. His unusual celebrity portraits and striking photo essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Los Angeles Magazine, New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, Vibe, Discover, The New York Times Magazine, Premiere, W Magazine, Texas Monthly, and Time, among others. His advertising campaign clients include Nike, IBM, Microsoft, Sega, Warner Brothers, Paramount Studios, Saturn, Hewlitt Packard, and Twentieth-Century Fox, and does music packaging for recording artists on every major record label. Dan has won more than 100 national awards from American Photography, Communication Arts, The Society of Publication Designers, and Photo District News. He was also the recipient of the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award and a World Press Photo Award for portraiture.
