Carol Moldaw has published six books of poetry, including Beauty Refracted (Four Way Books), So Late, So Soon: New and Selected Poems (Etruscan Press) and The Lightning Field (Oberlin College Press), winner of The FIELD Prize. She is also the author of a novella, The Widening (Etruscan Press). Her literary distinctions include an NEA Creative Writing Fellowship, a Pushcart Prize and a Lannan Foundation Residency Fellowship.
Carol has taught at Naropa University, the College of Santa Fe, and at Stonecoast, the University of Southern Maine’s low-residency MFA program. She is a recurrent Visiting Writer at the Vermont Studio Center and in 2011 served as the Louis D. Rubin, Jr., Writer-in-Residence at Hollins University. Workshops create their own kind of alchemy. Carol encourages students to explore various poetic approaches, to expand and refine their use of language, and to deepen their connection and commitment to their own individual voice.
