Abhishek ("Abhi") Hajela is a Delhi-based professional travel and documentary photographer and a passionate explorer of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and most recently Jordan.
Abhi was the recipient of the Nikon World Photography Award in the Emerging Talent Category for 2010 - 2011. His images have appeared in many magazines, including National Geographic India (cover story) and Outdoor Photographer (U.S.), among others.
His project on Spiritual India, The Naga Sadhus – Naked Saints was short-listed by the National Geographic "All Roads Photography Program". Abhi's photographs have been included in exhibitions in Hyderabad, Vienna and the National Center for the performing Arts in Mumbai.
Through social media and manufacturer's publicity events he is also associated with brands such as Olympus, Manfrotto and Go Pro.
As a responsible Indian citizen, Abhi believes in giving back to his country to the best of his abilities. He provides his images on a royalty-free basis to the Indian Ministry of Tourism's global "Incredible India 2.0" public relations campaign.
