Stephen Wilkes is an award-winning fine-art and commercial photographer whose work can be found in galleries and museums nationwide. A National Geographic Explorer, he creates editorial images for major publications, as well as advertising campaigns for agencies and corporations. In 1999, he completed a personal project photographing the ruins of Ellis Island’s infectious disease and psychiatric hospital wings. His newest body of work is titled Day to Night™, in which he digitally blends images to capture a span of time within a single frame. Stephen also directed the 2018 documentary film Jay Myself, about his mentor, photographer Jay Maisel.
