Erika Larsen uses photography, video, and writing to learn intimately about cultures and people that maintain strong connections with nature. She has spent the last 15 years creating portraits to accompany human-interest stories for a range of magazines, including National Geographic. Erika's work has been featured at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, National Geographic Society, Fotografiska, and Ajtte Sàmi Museum. She is the recipient of both a Fulbright Fellowship and a World Press Award and is currently a National Geographic Society Fellow. Her recently published monograph is entitled Sàmi: Walking With Reindeer. This is her third year teaching for The Workshops. Erika's website is www.erikalarsenphoto.com.
