Dr. Jorge Gavilondo lives in Havana, Cuba, and has balanced his career as an artist and scientist for the last 30 years. He has photographed natural and urban landscapes, environmental portraiture, ballet and dance, architecture, and events. Cuba, specifically Havana, has been a favorite subject matter for him and his Cuba portfolios are now in two dozen private collections in Cuba, the United States, France, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany and the UK.
A member of the Cuban Photographic Library and the Cuban Association of Social Communicators, Jorge is an invited lecturer at the José Martí International Journalism Institute of Havana, Cuba, where he teaches digital photography.
