Arien Chang, better know as “Chang,” is part of the new wave of talented, contemporary Cuban photographers carrying on the time-honored tradition of black-and-white documentary storytelling. His current series “Long Life” is a study of relationships between men and women between 100 and 109 years old. Chang’s photographs have been published in Duke University’s Echo magazine, Blaster, and Hip Hop Movement magazine. In addition, he has exhibited his photographs in Havana’s International Fair, Waltraut Ludwig Museum in Germany, and at the Center of Design and Fine Arts. In 2008 Chang won the Raul Corrales Creation Grant, awarded by Fototeca de Cuba.
